CLASS LIST $70.00 per division top

TA. Training Level Division A Training Level Test 2 - for riders who have never competed at First Level or above. Riders in this division may compete only in this Division.
TB. Training Level Division B Training Level Test 4 - open to all riders. Riders in this Division may also enter another Division, if qualified.
11. First Level Division First Level Test 2
22. Second Level Division Second Level Test 2 Unofficial Jog required.
33. Third Level Division Third Level Test 2 Unofficial Jog required.
44. Fourth Level Division Fourth Level Test 2 Unofficial Jog required.
Each Division consists of three sections: Written Test, Equitation Class, and Dressage Test. For example: Class #11 is First Level division. The rider will have a written test in his age group, ride in a group equitation class, and ride the First Level Test 2 Dressage Test.
FEI DIVISIONS CanAm Concours
FP FEI Pony Division Team & Individual tests Unofficial jog required.
FJ FEI Junior Division Team & Individual tests Unofficial jog required.
FY FEI Young Rider Division Team & Individual tests Unofficial jog required.
For each of these divisions the rider/horse combination will ride the FEI Team Test and the FEI Individual Test as well as the Equitation class and the written test. Canada has accepted our invitation to send teams for a CanAm Concours. Riders wishing to be selected to the American Team must send the front of two score sheets from the Team Test and two from the Individual Test. The riders with the highest averages will be chosen for the American team.

Qualifying Requirements for all above divisions:
Rider needs two (2) scores of 57% or higher from any USEF or FEI dressage test of the level from August 1, 2003 to August 6, 2004. The score may be received from any competition (including schooling shows, events, and Pony Club competitions) whose judge is a USDF 'L' graduate, or any USEF Dressage judge. The two scores do not have to be on the same horse. Rider may compete on a different horse from the one on which the qualifying scores were received. Rider must submit a copy of the front page of the tests with entry form. Rider may qualify for two consecutive levels with the same horse or any two levels on two different horses (except for Training Division Level A, where the rider may ride only in that Division).

Horse may be ridden by one rider in two consecutive Divisions or two riders in the same or different Divisions. Horse may only compete in two Divisions. Rider who wins a Division may not compete again on the same horse in that Division. This rule does NOT apply to Fourth Level Division. If a rider is riding two different Divisions, he/she will take one written exam and the score will count twice. For example, if a rider is riding one horse at the First Level Division and another horse at the Fourth Level Division, the rider will take one written exam (by age) and that test score will count for both the rider’s First and Fourth Level Division scores.

Tests will be age-appropriate. Answers will be posted on the dressage4kids.com website after the show. They will not be posted at the show. Please state on entry form if special test-taking needs are required.

Equitation Section: This will be a group Class. The riders will be asked to perform at the level of their Dressage Test, with that level’s gaits. Extra movements are not asked except where the judge feels the need for added input from the rider. The rider’s position and seat will be judged along with the correct use and effect of the aids. The rider’s position will be judged as it relates to the horse’s balance, i.e. a rider with a classical hunt seat position would be acceptable at Training Level but not at Third Level. top

Scoring: Each section of a division is worth 100 points for a total of 300 points. Placing occurs from the highest points being 1st place, next highest being second, and so on in each Division. Ties will be broken by using the equitation test ride, then dressage, and if needed the written.

OTHER CLASSES:
PRIX CAPRILLI – Dressage test with jumps ridden in a standard dressage arena.

** For the purposes of competition, the FEI age rule applies. The rider's age is the age the rider reaches in the calendar year.
