Each lesson will be 45 minutes. There will also be a Vet Discussion on Recognizing the Medical Conditions of Your Pony, instruction in bandaging and braiding for those who wish, and a theory lecture each day.

Riders will be selected by the following criteria:
Riders 15 and under with scores above 60% at Second Level or above.
Riders 14 and under with scores above 62% at First Level or above.
Riders 13 and under with scores of at least 60% at Training Level or above.
All riders on ponies with preference given to higher levels.

Preference will be given to riders coming all three days

Fees: Lesson - $160 per day
Stabling -$50 per night - bring your own feed and bedding. Stalls have rubber mats.

Workshop for FEI Level Instructors and Trainers

      with Lilo Fore assisted by Lendon Gray

 Presented by Dressage4Kids, Inc.    

November 12 – 14                Patterson NY

The focus of the instruction will be on developing and perfecting throughness, straightness, and collection, as well as starting and perfecting movements such as flying changes, zig zags, pirouettes, piaffe (both in hand and under saddle), and passage. Each lesson will include discussions during several breaks during the lesson as well as at the end. Discussions will include evaluating different exercises for improving riders and horses with all participants expected to offer their own ideas and experiences. Attention will be paid to schooling horses as well as teaching riders. Extra time will be available for further discussions.

Approximately 20 participants will be accepted with priority given in the order listed:
USDF Instructors certified through 2nd level
Graduate Young Riders who have competed at NAYRC who are now professionals
Instructors of riders at 2nd level and above currently
Trainers competing 4th Level and above currently
USEF Judges

All are welcome as silent auditors. (see fees below)

Students will be horse/rider combinations who are competing at 2nd level or above and will be chosen to be the best for receiving lessons on subjects needed.

Dressage4kids will offer two 3-day scholarships for instructors who have had a total of five riders at the Youth Dressage Festival or professionals who are former competitors 3rd level and above at the Youth Dressage Festival.

Fees per day:
Participating instructors: $150 for one day, $225 for two days, $300 for three days. To be
accepted on a first come basis (receipt of check).
Participating instructors who also take a lesson: add $75 per lesson
Students: $100 per lesson
There may be room for some private lessons with only silent auditors: $175 per lesson
Stabling $50
Silent auditors: $50 at the door, $25 if check is received by Wednesday, November 10.
10% discount for USDF Certified Instructors and examiners.

Those wishing to ride please email the following information:
Rider’s name and phone. Horse’s name, age, breed, level competing and level schooling.
Describe the horse’s strengths and weaknesses. At what stage is the horse schooling piaffe (half steps), passage, pirouettes, and flying changes. Desire to be a demo student or regular student. Do you wish to participate in the discussions (see fees above).
Riders accepted for the clinic will be expected to send the fee for the clinic immediately after acceptance.
