The Youth Dressage Festival has always put a strong emphasis on education in all aspects of the horse world. With that in mind this year we have instituted a raffle for lessons from top trainers. Every rider and volunteer will be given one ticket and other tickets may be purchased.

All proceeds will go to the Scholarship Fund.

Volunteers have been included because they are the unsung heroes. No Dressage show could run without volunteers whether it is the local schooling show or the Olympics. But so often these hardworking friends of Dressage who stand out in hot sun, pouring rain for hours on end are ignored. I felt that this would be a special way for the volunteers to be appreciated.

More than forty trainers have donated one or two lessons to be raffled during the Youth Dressage Festival. Some have school horses that may be used; some are willing to travel to teach.

Every volunteer will be given one ticket in exchange for a half-day’s work; four tickets for two days work. The volunteer may choose which trainer or trainers they wish to try to win a lesson from.

The second donated lesson from each trainer will be used for a raffle for everyone else. Every rider entered will be given one ticket. Anyone else may buy tickets for $10.00 (proceeds to D4K Scholarship fund.)

For those who gave two lessons, one lesson is only for volunteers. If no volunteer puts in a ticket then both lessons may go for riders/ticket buyers. A volunteer may buy more volunteer tickets.

Make sure your name, email or phone number is written on each ticket. The Raffle will be open until 12:00 noon on Sunday.
