Following the educational theme of Lendon’s Youth Dressage Festival, we will be holding a book drive at the competition to benefit the individuals served by the Family of Woodstock, Inc. This remarkable organization provides shelters for runaway children, for homeless adolescents, and for families and homeless adults. They will take our books and distribute them among these shelters and to individuals in need. Please bring to the competition a new or gently used book for any age. We will provide boxes for depositing them and will take care of getting them to the Family of Woodstock, Inc. Consider bringing a book you’ve read in the past and want to share with someone else. We hope that you will continue to promote volunteerism and good sportsmanship by helping us in our endeavor to provide books to the local community.
