SCHOLARSHIPS AND
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS
Thanks to generous donations
from our sponsors, Dressage4Kids, Inc. has established extensive
scholarship and professional development programs. Some programs
assist youth and young adult amateur riders to enhance their
horsemanship skills and competition experience and to introduce them
to career opportunities in the equine industry. Other programs
provide networking or financial assistance to aspiring and current
young professionals to further develop their repertoire of training,
coaching, competition, business and stable management skills.
To be eligible for most of
these programs, applicants must have competed in the Youth Dressage
Festival or participated in the Weekend Educational Program or
Clinic for Pony Riders.
A brief description of each
program and the eligibility requirements follows.

Young
Professional Advantage Program
Young professionals ages 18 to 29 broaden their
experience by spending three or four days in the stable of a top

stable management and business are conducted. This program will
connect young professionals to participating top professionals.
Depending on availability of funds, financial assistance with
transportation and housing may be awarded. For more information,
contact Lendon Gray at graydressage@optonline.net.
Mentoring
Program
The Mentoring Program is for young equine industry
professionals or horse owners age 29 and under who are now working
in the ‘real world’ and riding as adult amateurs. The program helps
these D4K program graduates find adults who can answer questions
about equestrian business, training and competing. For more
